"Crossing Borders" – Festival Workshop feat. 48 Hour Film Challenge
Der Workshop wird von den Filmdozenten Dave Green und John Digance (London/Luton) geleitet, die erfolgreich akademische und kreative Kurse an Universitäten und anderen Filmschulen in Großbritannien, Schweden, Spanien, Russland und China geleitet haben.
John Digence und Dave Green: "This year’s workshop will again centre on the idea of Crossing Borders. As an antidote to Trump in the US and the UK vote to leave the EU this is your opportunity to make a film challenging isolation and fear. In the open and cosmopolitan city of Berlin we would like to show there is some hope in the world by screening both existing films and your new films about crossing boundaries and barriers, not erecting them. Explore through sound and image the theme of Crossing Borders. Students will watch and discuss short British Experimental Films that are related to the workshop topic – and make, in a day, their own films about crossing borders in Berlin – borders that may be geographical, psychological, physical, abstract, sexual or any you can imagine decide to cross."
Der Workshop wird komplett in englischer Sprache stattfinden. Eigenes technisches Equipment (Kamera und Schnitt) wird vorrausgesetzt. Wir sind stärker an Ideen als an Technik interessiert, einfache Ausrüstung reicht.
Workshop-Termine Sa 18.1., 12 Uhr bis 17 Uhr, Sputnik Kino: Einführung, Lectures und Screenings zum Thema Sa 18.1. bis Mo 20.1.: Lectures und Arbeit an den 48-Stunden-Filmen Mo 20.1., 19.30 Uhr, Sputnik Kino: Präsentation der 48-Stundenfilme (Eintritt frei)
